Environmental Mutagen Society (EMS) 40th Anniversary Article
Impact of EMS outreach: successful developments in Latin America. 2010 (in press)
.  Olivero1 O. A., Larramendy2 M. L., Soloneski2 S., Menck3 C. F. M., Zamorano-Ponce4 E., Matta5 J., Folle6 G. A., Spivak7* G.

  • The article is based on the oral presentations, meetings, and symposium of the EMS that took place in Río Grande, Puerto Rico in October, 2008 . The works from Dr. Jaime Matta’s Lab were selected by the EMS to represent Puerto Rico together with the research presented by other colleagues from Latin American Countries. These works will be published in a special 40th Anniversary Issue of the EMS in the near future.  The selected scientists have all contributed to the advancement of research in their respective countries in a variety of scientific specialties related to DNA repair and cancer susceptibility, genomic organization and stability, as well as, genetic diversity and environmental contaminants
