|
The Objectives of the
Department of Internal Medicine at the Ponce School of Medicine is
to provide education and training in the broad field of Internal
Medicine. The Department of Medicine is aware that medical education
is a continuum that begins in the first day of medical school, and
follows in most cases into Post-Graduate Medical Training, and
continues for the remainder of the physician's professional life
(Continued Medical Education).
Our program is divided into the (1) undergraduate program, (2) the
graduate and residency training program, and (3) continuous medical
education program. The latter takes advantage of some of the
conferences in our Post Graduate Training Program and allows for
credit hour of Continued Medical Education (CME). In the
undergraduate program, third and fourth level, a position has been
assigned for supervision of each year.
