program of self-study and professional growth with guidance from
the teaching staff.

Participation in safe,
effective and compassionate patient care under supervision. All
physicians must adhere to the Ponce School of Medicine and
Affiliated Hospital of Excellence.

Complete participation in
the educational activities of the program and, as required,
assumption of responsibility for teaching and supervising other
resident physicians and medical students.

Participation in
institutional programs and activities involving the medical
staff and adherence to established practices, procedures and
policies of the institution.

Participation in
institutional committees and councils, especially those that
relate to patient care review activities.

Application of cost
containment measures in the provisions of patient care.

Working harmoniously with
other members of the health care team. This is absolutely
essential if the best possible medical result for the patient is
to be achieved.

Timely completion of all
responsibilities with respect to medical records.
