Rodriguez-Arias has been working in the Department since 1983.
He took a training fellowship in Faculty Development from the
UNC-Chapel Hill Faculty Development Program in 1987. He has
been Undergraduate Coordinator, Assistant Residency Training
Director, and Associate Dean for Student Affairs.
He has been productive in developing and implementing
Training Grants in the areas of Curriculum Development and use
of Standardized Patients in Teaching and Evaluation. He
precepts third and fourth year medical students and has a
special interest in geriatric medicine.
Dr. Rodríguez-Arias was the recipient of the Humanism
in Medicine Award given by the Healthcare Foundation of New
Jersey in 2001.
