Bio

Dr. R. IvŠn Iriarte is Professor of Public Health, Family Medicine and Pediatrics at Ponce School of Medicine & Health Sciences (PSMHS). He received his MD degree and Post-Graduate Education in Family Medicine from the University of Puerto Rico. Dr. Iriarte was a Robert Wood Johnson Family Medicine Fellow at the University of Iowa, where he also completed his Masterís Degree in Preventive Medicine. He has served in positions such as Family Medicine Residency Program Director, Assistant Dean of Admissions, and Associate Dean for Student Affairs at PSMHS.

At PSMHS he teaches Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Preventive Medicine in the Medical Program. In the Public Health Program he teaches the Introduction to Epidemiology, Advanced Epidemiology and Epidemiology of Chronic Diseases Courses.
