The RCMI Program at the Ponce School of Medicine has significantly contributed to the institution’s research faculty recruitment and development efforts. Future plans include continuing this policy of aggressive recruitment but also the establishment (and periodic evaluation) of consortium/partnership agreements with other institutions; such agreements are seen to be a direct benefit to PSM researchers. Because of this new focus, administrative activities have been adjusted to accommodate these changes in program direction, and as such, recent endeavors have been directed towards:
Developing specific program policies regarding proposed partnership/consortium agreements.
Coordinating the Internal and External Advisory Committee meetings and ensuring that progress evaluation of programs/projects is regularly performed according to the program and institutional policies.

Other Ongoing Activities:

Maintaining and updating the “research” web site on www.psm.edu.

Updating RCMI Program management.
